Actions:

    • Discussed the Education Committee AVP-Aiki Workshop and other possible breakout sessions specific to Adaptations for the National Gathering

    • Considered more specific ways the Adaptations Committee can be present at this year's National Gathering. For example:

      • Review highlights of Committee Report, accomplishments and requests during the Board Meeting

      • Ask for time (5 minutes) during an early Plenary Session to give a quick overview of Adaptations - what it is, who we're hoping to include and involve

      • Create poster session and possible breakout session to highlight existing Adaptations so those who attend can see the variety of programs and possibilities

      • Have space within the Education Committee room for a sample booklet and/or website for people to explore various Adaptations - as well as sign up space

      • Have a World Cafe table and use that (and the Education Committee room) as places for further discussions on building a "Resource Pool' for those who are doing Adaptations of AVP. and ways to collaboratively promote both the Adaptations and AVP USA.

      • Have a networking lunch or dinner time so people in a more informal setting can talk about Adaptations and how to promote them while also collaborating with and bringing benefit to AVP USA..

      • Ask to be included in the Board Retreat following the Gathering as a future oriented, innovative opportunity for AVP Facilitators to be more engaged

See the attached document: Requests to/Responses from Archer regarding the above National Gathering ideas and the standing of Adaptations as a Committee.

    • Created a "Call for Adaptations" for the Transformer/AVP-L to showcase at the National Gathering and include on a new Adaptations of AVP website

    • Noelle submitted a breakout session workshop of creative ways to inspire AVP Facilitators to continue to learn, add their own flair, and stay engaged

    • Brainstormed other ways of doing outreach to let AVP-Trained facilitators know about the work of this group.

Received clarification from the Board that Adaptations is an "ad hoc" committee. Board attendance is welcome but not required.
