Katherine and Betty have been confirmed by the Education Committee as the co-chairs for 2020-21.
We are encouraged by the results of the Education Community Circles Discussions planned and facilitated by AVP-I and AVP-USA Education Committees (in PowerPoint format and ZOOM) [See attachment: Report on April 5 Community Circle Report).
AVP-USA and AVP-I Education Committees are working in partnership on continuing these Education Community Circles; the emphasis will be on “keeping facilitators involved”.
AVP-USA Manual Writing group has reformed and is brainstorming approaches to revising the USA Manuals, with an emphasis on assuring that the manual materials are appropriate for prison-based training.
AVP-USA Education is working in partnership with AVP-I on the Online Libraries, and will be connecting the libraries with the manual writing for hard-copy distribution.
AVP-USA Education has produced the final descriptions of the Facilitation Community Model (in summary as well as full-text format) [see attachments: Summary Description: Facilitation Community Model and Full-Text AVP-USA Facilitation Community Model]
