Further notes on implementation of 2016-7 Goals from our July Committee meeting:
Implement transparency and intra-membership communication:
AVP-L subscriptions for all Chapters (Katherine will lead).
Should we auto-subscribe new facilitators? Consensus NO, would be intrusive.
Can add links to joining AVP-L on website, all-member emails, etc.
Publicise these Committee reports on AVP-L
Have a Committee section in Transformer
Link up Committee Intranets (DONE)
Connect with academic/school communities
Transformer subscriptions for all
What about the cost?
Transformer costs per year - $7,000 divided by $20/group = 350 groups.to break even (less individual subscription sales).
Subscriptions budgeted at - $700
Send our welcome to AVP letter to people who order things.
For those who can't afford: Apply for scholarship to Transformer or better, encourage every Group to have a Share-A-Transformer.
Publicity: Include: AVP-L, Transformer (group subscription), Website, Distribution Center.
Shovel ready projects for possible fundraising:
The Transformer including graphic design/layout
Translation of the Transformer into Spanish
Closer partnership with PR
Bring new people with new ideas and support. Interns?
Other shovel ready projects for possible fundraising:
Free manuals for those who can not afford them
Training Videos in future.
