Students will express their ideas in speaking and writing with evidence from the texts they hear/read.

Students will begin to recognize common types of text (i.e., storybooks, poems, and informational text) and to distinguish differences between text.

They will continue to focus on uppercase and lowercase letters, common nouns and verbs, and capitalizing the first word and me in a sentence in their writing.
