Sept 8, 2016 Dear SCU
For the past three years I have taught Research Methods as well as Action Research to master’s students in the faculty of Education at Santa Clara University as an adjunct professor.
My wife Susan ran a masters program at SCU 2009 -2016 .
As required, here is the most recent version of my curriculum vitae.
I am fully retired from The Institute for The Future (IFTF), A Research Institute, where I was a director for 13 of my 18 years there.
I received my doctorate in Communication from Stanford University and just before that completed the Masters in Communication Research Methods as a requirement to move on to the PhD program.
While at IFTF, I both supervised and conducted quantitative as well as qualitative research with several staff members. We used mixed methods research techniques in conducting needs assessments, interviews, surveys, evaluation research, other statistical studies and focus groups.
Since summer 2009, I have taught Ed 490, a research methods course for master’s students as an adjunct professor for Santa Clara University and Ed 369 the Action Research requirement for students enrolled in their Masters in Administrative Credentials Programs.
On occasion, both at Stanford and later for Fielding University, I have assisted PhD students with the methodology segments of their dissertations.
