Private School Experience_ Credential Recommendation

The Office of Student Services and Assessment is responsible for program degree audits, including credential requirement completion. Candidates may petition each quarter for degree conferral and credential recommendation (Fall – Spring) quarter and in Summer Session. Upon completion of all coursework and credential specific requirements, students meet with the Credential Analyst to review all required documentation as listed on the CTC leaflet CL_834.

A credential audit includes review of the following: transcript with all grades posted, program plan, submission of all requisite credentials exams for Multiple and Single Subject candidates.

The petition for credential recommendation must be submitted by each candidate, along with all supporting documentation to the CTC Manager (aka Credential Analyst). Upon review the Credential Analyst gives the candidate a letter of recommendation to be included as part of the application packet sent by the candidate to the CTC.

A progress monitoring document is not required for students in the private schools. Students in the private school program are not seeking employment prior to credential recommendation and do not need to verify an anticipated credential recommendation date.
