Credential Recommendation

The Office of Student Services is responsible for program degree audits and credential recommendations. Candidates may petition each quarter for credential recommendation upon completion of all coursework and credential specific requirements, students submit the Petition for Credential Recommendation form.

Petition for Credential Recommendations are submitted via email. Once the request is received the Credential Analyst reviews the candidates transcript to ensure that all required coursework listed on the program plan was successfully completed. Once grades are confirmed the Analyst reviews all additional documentation (as listed in the appropriate checklist https://www.scu.edu/ecp/current-students/credential-services/) to ensure that all CTC requirements are met for the credential that the candidate is requesting. The final piece before the recommendation is completed is the review of the TPA list to ensure that teaching credential candidates have successfully completed this requirement.

Program Plans- Progress Document-1 completed with the Academic Advisor as a guide to complete their program.

End of Program Review- Progress Document 2 sent from the Credential Analyst to teaching candidates before the start of the Spring quarter. Administrative candidates meet with their academic who reviews their transcript to ensure that courses are completed before directing them to email credentials@scu.edu for further guidance.
