Librarian chat is a javascript widget that appears for some institutions in GIL-Find. It allows patrons to chat directly with reference librarians. This chat widget is accessible via a link labeled “ask a librarian”. For several institutions that utilize this, the chat widget also appears when the patron’s search achieves zero results.
