EDS
OVERVIEW
GIL maintains a set of each library’s catalog data in their Ebsco Discovery Service instance. This provides patrons access to your library's catalog content, including books, eBooks, and other materials, within EDS searches. EDS will also check the Alma catalog for real-time availability of items, and provide direct links to the catalog record in Primo. GIL staff has worked with EBSCO to set this integration up, and your catalog will be updated nightly from Alma via FTP. GIL will also run a full refresh update every 6 months, typically in December and June.
Your catalog results will be interleaved within the full EDS result set, but you can choose to show only the catalog results by checking the "Available in Library Collection" facet.
