Sophie began the year with her local representative team, the Mudgee Mudcrabs, achieving an undefeated season and securing victories at prestigious tournaments, including the Hornets Don Green Carnival in Mudgee, the Sun’s Carnival in Orange, the Peter Wilson Carnival in Nelson Bay, the Northern Conference State Cup in Dubbo, and the NSW State Final Championships in Sydney. These remarkable results are a testament to Sophie’s talent and her ability to contribute to her team’s success.
As a representative of the Hunter Hornets, Sophie competed at the National Youth Touch Football Competition, where her team earned a commendable second-place finish. Her skill and versatility on the field earned her selection to the Polding Touch Football Team, with which she competed at the NSWPSSA Touch Football Championship in Wollongong. Sophie’s exceptional performances at this level led to her selection for the prestigious Under 12 NSWPSSA Touch Football Team, an achievement she is extremely proud of.
