Emerson Hoo

Emerson Hoo has achieved extraordinary success in swimming throughout 2024, solidifying her status as one of the most talented young athletes in her field. Her record-breaking performances at diocesan, state, and national levels highlight her unparalleled dedication, skill, and commitment to excellence.

At the 2024 NSWPSSA Swimming Championships, Emerson won gold in five individual events: the 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Backstroke, and 200m Individual Medley. She set new records in all but the 50m Backstroke, a testament to her technical prowess and competitive spirit. Emerson also secured a bronze medal in the all-age relay and was named the overall swimmer of the meet, reflecting her dominance across multiple disciplines.

Emerson’s exceptional performances continued at the School Sports Australia Swimming Championships, where she competed in nine individual events, winning gold in each and breaking seven national records. Her dominance extended to the team events, where she won two additional gold medals in the freestyle and medley relays. Emerson’s ability to consistently perform at this elite level underscores her determination and focus.

In addition to her success in swimming, Emerson demonstrated her versatility by excelling in diving. At the NSWPSSA Diving Championships, she earned a silver medal in the 10 Years Girls Springboard and a bronze medal in the Girls Open 5m Platform event.
