NSWCCC Outstanding Award for Excellence in Cross Country
Philippa Quarrell is an exceptional cross country athlete whose achievements in 2024 have firmly established her as one of the sport’s most outstanding competitors. Her dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship perfectly embody the spirit of the New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges Outstanding Award.
In 2024, Philippa claimed first place at the Broken Bay Championships, New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges Cross Country Championships, and the NSW All Schools Cross Country Championships. Representing New South Wales at the School Sport Australia National Cross Country Championships, she secured a 6th place finish in the Under 15s event and placed 10th in the combined age group. Her outstanding performances contributed to the NSW team earning silver medals in both the individual team and relay events, highlighting her vital role in the team’s success.
Over the past three years, Philippa has consistently been a key member of the New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges and NSW teams. Her commitment to excellence is complemented by her leadership and camaraderie, as she fosters team spirit by encouraging her peers during warm-ups and race preparations. Philippa’s accomplishments are a testament to her dedication to the sport and her ability to inspire those around her.
