NSWCCC Blue Award for Excellence in Basketball
Kira Juffermans is an outstanding basketball player whose talent, leadership, and sportsmanship have been key to her remarkable success in 2024. Having represented the New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges Girls Basketball Team for two consecutive years, Kira has consistently demonstrated excellence on the court. In 2024, she co-captained the New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges U16 Girls’ Team, leading them to a well-earned gold medal at the New South Wales Championships, avenging their narrow loss in 2023. Her leadership and skill were further recognised with her selection to the New South Wales All Schools Team, where she played a crucial role in helping secure silver at the School Sport Australia Championships on the Gold Coast.
Kira’s outstanding performances throughout the tournament, coupled with her ability to excel under pressure, earned her a place in the All Schools Australian Team. This prestigious recognition is a testament to her dedication, composure, and ability to compete with the best players in the country. Beyond state-level success, Kira’s commitment to basketball was further demonstrated when she was selected to attend the Australian National Camp, highlighting her potential and drive in the sport.
