Logan Jones

Logan Jones has demonstrated exceptional talent, leadership, and sportsmanship in softball throughout 2024. His outstanding performances at the diocesan, state, and national levels, combined with his positive attitude and commitment to his team, reflect his dedication to the sport and his ability to inspire those around him.

As a key player for the MacKillop Softball Team, Logan guided his team to their second consecutive gold medal at the NSWPSSA Softball Championships. Serving as the team’s catcher, Logan’s exceptional game management, composure, and tactical understanding were instrumental in his team’s success. His consistency at the plate, which saw him regularly on base, and his calming influence during high-pressure moments highlighted his value as both a player and a leader.

Logan’s remarkable performances earned him selection to the NSW Boys Softball Team, where he competed at the School Sport Australia Championships in Cairns. Representing New South Wales with pride, Logan contributed significantly to the team’s silver medal finish through his strong batting, skilful bunting, aggressive base running, and tight fielding. His determination to improve and his technical understanding of the game were evident in every match, earning him the respect of teammates, coaches, and opponents alike.

Beyond his accomplishments in softball, Logan is a versatile athlete who has represented his school in seven sports, including AFL, cricket, soccer, basketball, netball, swimming, and athletics. His ability to balance success across multiple sports while maintaining his focus and sportsmanship is a testament to his work ethic and passion for competition.

Logan’s dedication, humility, and team-first mentality make him a role model for his peers. His respectful demeanor and high levels of sportsmanship on and off the field exemplify the values of perseverance, teamwork, and leadership.
