Simon Troup is an exceptional basketball player whose leadership, skill, and dedication have resulted in significant achievements throughout 2024. Representing New South Wales Country at the National Championships in Brisbane, Simon showcased his talent against the best players in the country. His outstanding performances earned him a well-deserved spot on the New South Wales All Schools Team in June, further establishing his reputation as a top-tier athlete. Simon’s ongoing growth and commitment to the sport were also reflected in his recent selection to represent the U20 New South Wales Blue Team at the upcoming championships in Ballarat.

A vital member of the U18 Newcastle Falcons representative team and the Falcons Youth League team, Simon has been instrumental in both competitions. His ability to lead by example, paired with his on-court dominance, underscores his maturity and thorough understanding of the game. Additionally, as a key player for his college’s Senior Boys Basketball Team, Simon played an integral role in their impressive 3rd place finish at the New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges Championships, displaying both exceptional skill and strong leadership qualities throughout the season.
