NSWCCC Bar Award for Excellence in Touch Football
Tynise Bowrey has had an extraordinary year in 2024, firmly establishing herself as one of the most talented and accomplished touch footballers within the New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges (NSWCCC) community. Her exceptional skill, dedication, and leadership have been consistently showcased through a series of remarkable achievements.
At the NSWCCC Championships, Tynise played a pivotal role in leading her CGSSSA team to victory in the U/18 Division 1 Grand Final. Her dynamic presence on the field earned her both the MVP and Player’s Player awards. This performance was a testament to her unparalleled speed, agility, and strategic decision-making, setting her apart as a dominant force in the game.
As a member of the NSWCCC U18 Touch Football team, Tynise competed in the National Youth Championships in Coffs Harbour. Serving as co-captain, she guided her team to the semi-finals, where they were narrowly defeated by Queensland in a tightly contested match. Tynise’s performance was exceptional—she was involved in every try scored by her team, either by scoring or setting them up. Her game sense, composure under pressure, and relentless determination earned her the prestigious MVP award for the tournament.
Beyond her school commitments, Tynise has continued to excel in her touch football career. She was selected for the NSW Emerging Blues U20 State of Origin squad and competes in Premier League with Eastern Suburbs, proving her ability to perform at the highest levels of the sport. Her contributions to her JSC Roosters team, where she earned both MVP and Player’s Player accolades, further highlight her consistent excellence across all competitions.
Tynise’s humility, sportsmanship, and unwavering support for her teammates and coaches reflect her outstanding character and dedication. Her ability to execute game plans with precision, combined with her leadership and calmness under pressure, make her an invaluable asset to any team.
