NSWCCC Blue Award for Excellence in Rugby League
Jacob Halangahu has had an extraordinary year, achieving remarkable milestones across multiple levels of rugby league. His exceptional performances on the field have been instrumental in a series of team successes, including being crowned SG Ball Grand Final Premiers, where he was named Player of the Match. Jacob’s standout abilities were further recognised during the City vs. Country clash, where he earned Player of the Match honours, and as a key member of the NSW Under 19’s Origin team.
At the school level, Jacob played a pivotal role in the Patrician Brothers College team, who claimed the Peter Mulholland Premiership, as well as the New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges Premiership winners. His individual excellence was recognised with the prestigious New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges MVP Award, underscoring his leadership, skill, and commitment.
On the international stage, Jacob represented the Australian Schoolboys for two consecutive years, captaining the team in 2024. In the match against France, his influence on the field was undeniable, earning him the Australian Schoolboys Most Valuable Player accolade for his dominant performance.
