NSWCPS Bar Award for Excellence in Swimming
Thomas McCormack has demonstrated exceptional talent, dedication, and versatility in swimming throughout 2024. His remarkable achievements at diocesan, state, and national levels reflect his commitment to excellence and his ability to compete at the highest level.
At the Diocesan and Polding Championships, Thomas showcased his skill with a first-place finish in the 50m Breaststroke and podium placements in the 200m Individual Medley and other events. At the NSWPSSA Championships, he secured gold in the 50m Breaststroke and bronze in the 200m IM, earning selection to represent New South Wales at the School Sport Australia Championships.
On the national stage, Thomas won a bronze medal in the 50m Breaststroke and contributed to two gold-medal relay victories in the Freestyle and Medley Relays. His ability to perform under pressure and excel in team and individual events underscores his talent and teamwork.
In addition to his swimming success, Thomas represented NSW in rugby league and rugby union, earning a team gold medal in rugby league. Balancing multiple sports with such success highlights his resilience, discipline, and work ethic.
