This is my self portrait for my time capsule assignment. I learned techniques last year for drawing self portraits and they definitely helped me on this project. We had a mirror in front of us and had to draw what we saw. I think if I was to re-do this drawing I would have made my eyes a little smaller, my eyebrows more realistic, and made the nose bigger and more realistic, and my lips a little smaller. I like the way I drew my hair and ears though. All I used on this project was a pencil and was freehand.
This is my perspective drawing for my time capsule assignment. We were told to pick any corner of the room and draw it. This is honestly probably my least favorite drawing I have done this year. If I had the option to make changes to this drawing, I definitely would make the lines straighter and worked on the shading more. I struggled a lot on this drawing as making the depth show was really difficult especially because I am not good at shading. I used pencil and a rolled paper stump on this drawing and I should have used a ruler as a straightedge for the lines on the door. Ultimately this was the hardest of the time capsule drawings for me but I tried my best to work through the difficulty.
This is my last time capsule drawing which is my still-life portrait. This capsule drawing I found the easiest because since I chose to draw a book it was a flat surface and I didn't feel the need to try to shade. I liked drawing this because it was simple and all I had to do was draw what was right in front of me. If I had the chance to go back and change something about this project I would go over the main lines on it with pen and darken parts up to make it pop. If I was capable of shading well, I probably would have added more shading to this project but overall I like it.
