Realistic Scratchboard

This is my Scratchboard project. The setting is of the image I chose to use for my scratchboard piece is of Sugarloaf on a ski lift looking on to a snowy mountain. I made this project using a normal scratchboard and used a couple different types of scratchboard knives, one being a single blade one and the other having multiple wire ends to create thin clusters of lines. I chose to make this specific piece because I thought it was a cool landscape to use considering it had very strong white and gray tones along with a large piece of black too. I also chose to use this image because I knew it the mountain would have a cool texture and look. In my scratchboard I think I did a very good job with the direction of the scratches which represent the shadows and shapes. However, my project did evolve a lot because I accidentally made my second row without scratching in the tree on top of the mountain. To solve this issue I just completed the row and moved the rest of the project down a row as well and removed the bottom row of my image because it wasn't adding any new or important components to the piece. On the other hand, if I was to go back and change something about this piece I would probably make the gray tones in the sky more obvious and blend some of the lines that were from my gridding a little more smoothly.
