Acorn

This is my seventh sustained investigation. For this project, I found a picture I had taken a while ago and I put it into Acorn to draw it. I chose this photo because I thought it was a good change and not so serious. I took this picture of myself when I was eating cereal and there was a filter on it that gave me a cowboy hat, it wasn't a real hat.
I made this work on Acorn as I have made lots of my SI's and other projects this year. I use the paintbrush and paint bucket tools on the app to draw and the color thingy where you can get the exact color from the picture and use it so I can make my projects as accurate as possible.
As you can see pretty clearly in the piece, I was trying to focus a lot on the highlights on my face and the shading on my cowboy hat and hair. This project in particular didn't go through a ton of evolution as it was a pretty straight-forward process while creating it. I think if I were to go back and work on this project more, I would improve some of the lines you can see in the hair because I used the paint-bucket tool and it doesn't get every pixel up into the next line it is next to. I also feel as though some of the highlights are a bit too light in color compared to the shade of the rest of my face so I may go back and make those a bit closer in shade.
