For this project, and just like all my other sustained investigation projects, I have an inquiry question that I am applying to each and every piece. My inquiry question is, how can I show movement through character design? So, for this piece, I decided that I wanted to try really heavy muscles while also trying to still be dynamic. I have drawn muscles a bunch, but never in a bunch of different poses, so this became incredibly difficult fast. I ended up drawing some sort of monster, still humanoid, but very large and with sharp teeth. The main thing I wanted to do was to draw out the form, and then add detail to the muscles, which I think came out pretty decently. While I think some of the form is a bit off, it still managed to get the idea across and I think it came out decently for a first attempt at a jacked dynamic character. I attempted to get the shape down first using form and shape, and focused on forming the characters stance first. I already had the idea of the pose before hand, and so I sketched it out decently quick before adding details. Honestly, at first I was not planning on making a monster like character, but as I continued to draw, I thought the proportions would look better for a monster instead of a man. If I were to continue working on this piece, just like almost all my other pieces, I would probably ink it and add more detail, or add a detailed background.
