In this project, we were asked to sketch three separate things: a hand in any position we'd like, and object we see everyday, and a small section of our face. This directly relates to my life because it either my hand and face, or my stuff. The hand is pretty self explanatory, but for the face I did a top right square section of my face, and for my object I chose a mini-figure which sits on my desk in my room. Since these are just sketches, I used a light pencil, and just did simple shading on all three of them. Specific elements and principles I used on this project are space, contrast and shape. Since it's only using a pencil, the space is important. I used space in a way to make the drawings look full without actually drawing that much. I also used contrast to create a nice difference in light and shade that flows, and shape which I used to create the general outlines for each object before finishing them. My project didn't really evolve over time, but I did take some time to decide which object I was going to chose to draw. I next steps would be to go over with finer lines, adjust anything I didn't like, ink, and then finish with some form of color.
