For this piece, we were asked to create a revision of an old piece that we had already done. So, I decided to redo an old sustained investigation from this year. I decided not to do any birds, since I've only been doing birds recently, and I don't think it would be affective to redo them so soon. What I mainly focused on doing was taking some attributes from each of my character drawings and mashing them together in to a mix of different things. I wanted to practice some things that I have never done before. So, I actually fully colored the piece. For this piece, I worked digitally, and worked on my dynamic poses and hands. I worked a lot on the figure of the character, and I wanted to really work on the positioning of the hands. Because of this, it took my a lot of practice in order to be able to get the form correct, which made an interesting piece, and very dynamic. I started off with an idea in my head, and then sketched it out first, just getting the base shape down. I took a ton of inspiration from Dungeons and Dragons when making this character. It is much easier to do dynamic pieces when you sketch it out first. The easiest part are the details, since it's mainly the pose that is tricky. I am sort of proud how this came out, mainly because I tried something entirely new. However, I don't think it came out the best artistically, as the legs and the overall shot looks rushed and not done well. If I were to do something different, I would completely redo color scheme and the legs.
