Find your Voice

In this project, we were asked to create an image with meaning to us and the society, whether it be political or otherwise. So, I created a piece that represents the feeling of isolation and depression. I drew someone walking along with large letters spelling wrong on his face. This relates to my life because I have had friends go through tough times, whether it's depression or just feeling isolated, so I decided to interpret these emotions into my drawing. For this project, I made it on my drawing tablet, specifically on the app Procreate. This project took me quite a bit of time, only because my main idea kept changing, but I ended up sticking with whats now the final product. I used principles such as balance and emphasis, and for elements I used things such as texture and form. Texture is within the jacket and on the earthy ground, and things such as emphasis on the main character, who is in the center of the piece. If I were to continue and do more, I would probably make a more proper background, and more texture to the ground itself.
