There are three winter activities I pursue:
1. A fall and winter garden that features vegetables I harvest through the winter. Some of these yield from October onwards and thrive under cover through winter. Spinach, carrots, radish, kohl Rabi, leeks, turnips, Asian greens, methi, coriander.
2. An overwintered garden that features plants that will be dormant in winter but take off and yield in early spring. Cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, kohl Rabi.
3. Winter sowing. A technique for growing seedlings in milk jugs for planting out soon after last frost. Enables an early start to the season.
I have written elaborate notes about all these in this forum already. Pls post your queries and experiences. Happy to help!
