Thinning Radishes
If you leave your radish seedlings in bunches, they may yield leaves but not radishes. Each plant needs about an inch of space at least.
Thinning must be done when the first pair of true leaves appear. If you delay the thinning, the plants my not fruit at all.
To thin, simply use a sharp pair of scissors to snip off the extras to the ground and keep the strong plants.
If you pull them out you could disturb the delicate roots. You can gently uproot if you must, and transplant the seedlings. Not all of them will root and fruit though.
Do this on a cool evening to allow plants to settle down.
The trimmings can be used in salads and eaten like a microgreen.
