LAB - Lactic Acid Bacteria Solution for soil and plants
Collect the water you obtain when you rinse raw rice before cooking.
Store rice water for three days in a bottle with a lid until a film forms in the top and clear liquid is in the middle. Keep undisturbed so sediment settles down.
Do not keep it longer. The solution can spoil or grow pathogens and fungi.
On day four, discard the top layer of film with spoon. Ok if white fungus is seen. Discard and start over if black fungus forms.
Decant middle liquid into a large glass jar. Add ten times the volume of milk to it. Milk to be in room temp not cold. You can also mildly warm the milk. Not over 60 deg C
Add the milk to the decanted solution. Close lid and keep in a cool and dark corner, below the sink for example. Wait until clear whey is formed below and milk solids separate clearly to the top. This may take 4-5 days.

LAB can be stored in fridge for six months. If you add jaggery 1:3 (that is 1 part solution and 3 parts jaggery) you can store outside and use for an entire season.
