Next Friday is the new moon. Except for greens and beans that I will sow regularly, I sow all else and the garden switches to growth mode.

May 22 - Aug 22 is for care and harvests. No seed starting. All trays will be washed and stacked.

Fall and winter sowing begins on August 18. No stores will sell seeds or trays then, pls stack up.

No compost work. All harvested compost would be applied to the beds and new cycles started.

Last round of transplants will happen by May 31. This year egg plants have been delayed. Will put them in until June 21.

I don’t sow any large seed in seedling tray or transplant. These are seeds I will direct sow on May 22: Okra, agathi, moringa, soya, pole beans, flat beans (avarai), yard long, Lima, cluster beans, all gourds, all melons, all direct sow summer herbs.

All spring plants will be taken down by June 21, making way for transplants and seeds as they mature.

Focus for the next three months is nutrition, management and harvest. Night temps hit 60s next week. The growing season begins :)
