1. Plastic: ( Pots, Trays, Tags)
Try Lowe’s Garden Centers, they will take plastic containers, including pots, hanging baskets and trays, as well as the little ID tags!
They cannot be recycled Curbside even though they have recycle symbol on it.
2. Mulch and Soil bags:
Plastic bags cannot be recycled Curbside and they are not clean enough for the grocery store plastic bag and film recycling program, so they should not go in there.
You can try this way...the bags which have a #2,4&5 numbers, cut them to make it inside out and rinse it out with hose and dry and then recycle them with your other plastic bags at stores like Walmart, target, sprouts, Kroger....
Reusing them is the best option, here are few ideas.
Make them into bags and use them to store dry leaves in fall for adding to compost.
Try terracycle recycling program for these bags. If you would like to buy then wait till thanksgiving for the discounted price. Here is the link:

3. Fertilizer Containers:
Hard plastic bottles and jugs that contained liquid fertilizer are recyclable in your curbside recycling program!
Once the container is empty, triple rinse it by adding a little water, shaking and applying to the area that you originally put the product on. Then empty completely, replace the cap and put it in the recycling bin. Dry and empty!!
4. Hoses:
Unfortunately holey hoses are trash. Throw your old garden hose in the trash, NOT the recycling.
5. Seed Packets:
Most seed packets are made out of recyclable paper. Please place in your curbside recycling bin.
Reuse them to save your collected seeds or laminate them to use them as markers in your garden.
6. Garden Tools:
Donate the ones that you don't use.
To recycle, separate the metal parts form the wood part and take it to Scrap Metal Yards to recycle all kind of Metals.
Wood parts, reuse them or take them to wood recycling center. They will accept yard waste and wooden furniture too.
