While planning for your spring and summer gardens, allow for predators to naturally control pests in your yard.
Will write more about it soon. For today, I would like to look at mosquitoes. Many complain about biting insects in the Atlanta summer.
Dragon flies are natural predators. One dragon fly eats over 100 mosquitoes in a day. Grow plants that attract dragon flies.
Here is a list:
Meadow sage, black eyed Susan, white yarrow, swamp milkweed, joe-pie weed.
Provide a small water feeder too.
Plan your garden to include perches for birds, food for predators, and water for creatures.
