It is the first New Moon after last frost tomorrow. The growing phase officially begins for the followers of the moon cycles.
The 4-month period until end August is the peak period for summer vegetables at the garden.
The first two months is the regenerative phase, where plants will put out leaves. They need rich soil, compost tea, Amrit jal and other teas, liquid drenches and lots of sun.
Next two months is the reproductive phase. Stop over nitrogenizing. Ensure good air circulation. Prune and trim. Add fruit enhancing potions such as banana peel tea, comfrey tea and buttermilk.
Direct sowing begins tomorrow. Sow every week. Beans, okra, corn, greens, cucumbers, simmer squashes. Put those corms - turmeric, ginger, arbi - in.
Transplant all the seedlings choosing a good cloudy evening. As heat increases they won’t survive. Put them in when night temps are still low.
Allow for errors and keep sowing. If worms got one batch sow another. Enjoy the season of plenty.
