The great happiness of our faults
We don't need more than asking ourselves the question "Do my faults make me really happy ?" to instantly know that they obviously cannot, and change our character and mind or at the very least try to here and there, in one situation or thought and in another, and finally succeed to do it. Defects of character such as fault, failing, weakness, flaw, shortcoming and inadequacy are very fortunately never irremediable.
But, of course, we must identify and recognize those faults, such as for instance hatred and anger, just to name 2 of them very well-known, and not listen a lot to the mind, which will always have a multitude of arguments, pretexts and excuses to justify itself and even believe that they are not actually real faults, but more the expression of extremely important thoughts and emotions to simply subsist, live normally and be what we really are personally. In other words, "When I am angry and hate someone, it's absolutely not my fault, but the one of that idiot".
If we really are interested in spirituality, it's probably in the mind where we can experience it first instead of searching directly for enlightenment and spiritual awakening, which only exist in our great dreams and hopes. Or let us put it like that in order to be more practical : "Could anger and hatred help us to live better ?"

Just one step
Every day, the very first step might be difficult, after it’s just a ride. It goes the same with any daily spiritual practice. Discipline is never easy, but everybody appreciates feeling good and sane. Well-being doesn't fall from the sky or while watching TV and videos. The freedom and liberation we are searching for doesn't result from the absence of rules, but from the cognition and reajustment to the cosmic order of our own nature.
We all know what we should do, but we usually don't do it. Somehow it's pretty funny and childish as long as it doesn't become a problem. But after a while, it always becomes a real problem.

Psychotherapeutic and spiritual meditation
Only the practice of meditation can allow us to understand its psychotherapeutic and spiritual aspect when meditation is properly performed.
It is pointless, if not impossible, to explain it when all we need to do is simply sit down and practice even for a short time in order to realize that it holds the power to restore psychological balance and bring inner peace far beyond any ordinary states of mind and emotions.
Truly speaking, what’s the point of trying to intellectualize, explain and understand everything as we systematically do in the West when the direct experience of a spiritual practice reveals its validity ?
Do we need to convince ourselves intellectually that sitting physically and mentally inside ourselves is soothing or at the very least peaceful ? That doesn’t make sense, no thought can make us realize what the absence of thought means and experience the inner silence and wellbeing, which instantly bring down all painful emotions and anxious thoughts.
And if someone doesn't understand that all out of control emotions and states of mind cause pain or make us insane, what to really explain ? Just have a look in a mental hospital to see the outcome of it.
Does that mean we have to learn how to control ourselves constantly and spend our life relaxing ? It simply means that in the world we live today, we should be able with the help of spiritual practices to instantly calm down when necessary and regain psychological balance. Without basic inner balance, there is obviously no meaningful life, no spiritual quest, of course, and sometimes, no life at all.
