The average mental age of humanity?
No more than 12 years old.
Never forget it.
We still have time.
(Forget what? 12 years old or we still have time?)
What are we doing more or better than those who were living 5 or 10 000 years ago, and who wrote the sacred books that we are still studying and not really understanding?

"Humanity", a word which still exists in the dictionary.
Definitions :
- All human beings collectively; the human race ; humankind. (In the first position according dictionary.com)
- The quality or condition of being human; human nature. (In the second position)
- The quality of being humane; kindness; benevolence. (In the third position. More difficult to reach !)
- The humanities :
a. the study of classical languages and classical literature.
b. the Latin and Greek classics as a field of study.
c. literature, philosophy, art, etc., as distinguished from the natural sciences.
d. the study of literature, philosophy, art, etc.
(In the fourth and last position. Forget it ! Who wants to study such things in the XXI century. We have very good TVs which speak perfectly English and show us the real world.)
Attention, please !
To be human is to be human or to be humane, the word "nature" itself having many and very confusing definitions. It means as much, beside many other notions, "accepted standards of basic morality or behavior" as "in an uncivilized or uncultured condition". So, we cannot be both at the same time. If we are humane, therefore, we are not anymore human and we don't belong to the human race. So my question is :
"Is it so difficult to be kind and benevolent, just correct ?"

To compare oneself
If we could forget the concept of competition and success at any degree in all of our thoughts, what would be the life? How would be our relationship with others, but with ourself too?

Why human race is committing suicide?
Maybe to leave space to another race more smart.
To mutate ?
Anyhow, it's difficult to say by any standard that humankind is a success. Everybody is suffering or at least unsatisfied and never happy.

What could mean "too late" at the scale of the universe?
Humankind evolves when there is no other choice.
Otherwise, it will always choose the easiest way.
But when there is no more any choice,
you cannot be sure that it’s not too late.

The power of imagination makes us human.
But the invention of the ego is not anymore a necessity.
Frankly speaking, it's becoming a disaster.

"The world hates change, yet it is the only thing that has brought progress."
Charles F. Kettering

The creation goes its own way with or without ego.
Nobody can change the world because the world is always changing and the people who strive to change it are only part of the process of the ever changing nature of the world. So do as you like because nobody really knows why and how it changes…, if it has ever changed. As far as history goes back in time, humankind seems unfinished.

What do we know?
Not much!
The idea of people using only 90% of their brain is a theory and not a fact. But the fact that over 98% of DNA has largely unknown function is not a theory.
How to live in a world which doesn’t need me?
Me, 'I' or the ego? Is there any difference?
In a world of more than 7 billions of humans in which three quarter are sometimes considered as useless mouths, it’s quite clear that we are all personally expendable which means that we are worth nothing in the world of today and will even be less in the world of tomorrow and yet where people will have to live and find a reason for living. Such a thought may seem pessimistic, but to be true, what is our reason to live today in a world in which history has already proven since the beginning of humanity that everybody is obviously expendable. Everybody dies.
If the creation has truly a purpose, I should be immortal before to tell you anything about it! And I'm not. So I can only guess and never really be sure. As far as I'm concerned, only the theory of reincarnation makes sense when I try to understand what life is.

You have the right to be like anybody else.
You want to know what’s really going on in the world?
Just watch your mind and you will know.
I am God. I am a beast.
What do we need to really be human?
I don’t think we have to or could be more than that in our life.
The noble savage myth in modern society
More we are selfish, greedy and hypocrite,
more we are primitive
with or without feathers,
with or without a tie.

Duality of subjective values
Some people can create so much beauty that we wonder why humanity is sometimes so ugly.
"The more I know man, the more I love my dog." Montaigne
Would life have nothing better to teach?
The Metaphysics of Aristotle opens with these words: "All men naturally desire to know."
The desire to understand and to know is innate. That’s what pushes us to evolve and become human.
Yin and Yang
What we normally consider as a problem could quickly become a solution in the present context of overpopulation.

Impartiality is not the point
"History is always written by the victors." So what to believe?
Do we have to believe in anything to open our eyes and see what’s correct and what is not?

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Goodness is our true nature
It’s easy to manipulate people, not because they are stupid, but because human nature is not corrupted.
Offhand we trust others.
Besides, it’s rather better that children trust naturally their parents, even when they are mistaken.
Just imagine a world where they would never do it.
And perhaps it’s what is happening now.

Good or bad
Human nature is good, but we can choose to be bad.
We are inherently good because whatever we do,
we cannot prevent ourselves to be conscious of what we do
and truly think.

Politically correct
Free speech is the best means to discover among other things the stupidity of a culture.
If it cannot be expressed openly, it’s only because there is really nothing to understand anymore about this culture.
And this is much worse!

Blind or reasonable trust
Can we trust human nature when we see what’s going on in the world and the direction it is taking ?
I think so, but I’m not sure it’s a good idea.
Does it make me a positive zombie or particularly optimistic ?
Not really !
