Let us imagine that we could instantly go to paradise, the ego would think that it's kind of hell for mentally deficient where everyone thinks only to love everything and moreover their neighbors. And me, me, me in that crazy world, I beg you, bring me back where I come from, they are all insane !

If God didn't exist, it would have to be invented

But now the ego would prefer to think that if God existed, it would have to be destroyed once and for all. The ego doesn't really appreciate that kind of unfair competition. "Who is God in my home ?", would it ask very seriously and rightly so. After all, the mind is its play ground and not the one of "another".

As always and once again, we can really wonder how to end egocentricity, self-love and narcissism. And the answer will always be the same : to tread a spiritual path and do our best not to make out of it a new ego-trip, do our best not to because it will inevitably become an ego-trip. But let's say that there are good ones and those we cannot boast too much about with others… or oneself since it's an ego-trip anyway.

The beauty of an ego-trip is that the ego can make it anything it likes. And yet, there will always be a big difference between becoming a psychopath or a truth seeker.
