How to Use the Scribendi AI
Once the Scribendi AI is installed, please use it! While it provides the key file-naming functions for our system, it also provides access to a variety of great features. Start each order using the "Prepare Document" button to create a _TRACKED_REVISED version of the file. Features include being able to insert standard comments quickly, fix reversed text direction issues in documents from Middle Eastern customers, and quickly look up terms and quotes online. You can use the Insert Comment list to quickly insert frequently used comments (e.g., "Please check that I have not changed the intended meaning"), and with the Comment Manager tool you can add your own unique comments to the options. Please note that comments marked "QA - " are only used by in-house editors when completing quality checks.
Once you've finished editing, use the "Finalize Document" button to save your tracked version, and the "Make Clean Copy" button if the service requires a clean copy.
The Scribendi AI also has a number of advanced tools to help editors with their work, such as the Grammar Check. The latter is an AI tool that takes advantage of machine learning to utilize the knowledge drawn from thousands of editors across hundreds of thousands of documents to provide a remarkable editing tool that helps editors to spot errors and make revisions quickly and easily, addressing things from spelling to grammar to concision to style. For specifics about the Scribendi AI and its multitude of functions, please review The Scribendi Toolbar: A Guide. ("Scribendi Toolbar" is the former name of the the Scribendi AI Add-in for MS Word.) You can find this guide to our AI in the Scribendi Software section in the Guidebooks tab in EditorWorks.
