Placing an Order
Placing an Order
We provide SSL/TLS encryption to ensure the secure transmission of all information when clients place an order, including payment details. The strength of encryption used is usually 256-bit or higher. We recommend clients use the latest version of their web browser software to ensure that strong encryption is supported by the browser. Clients accept responsibility for ensuring the activation of the security features of their browser or computer that enable it to communicate information securely to our site.
When an order is placed for services, we ask for the following:
A name, e-mail address, and telephone number
A billing address
The document(s) for which the client requires our service and any special instructions relating to the service ordered
Payment details (if the client pays by credit card or electronic check)
This information is used to fulfill the order, to allow the client to track the order, and to contact the client if it is necessary to clarify any instructions, process or collect payment, or otherwise complete the order.
When a client pays by credit card, we disclose information as required to verify identity and process the payment according to the terms and conditions by which each credit card or payment system operates, and we only disclose this information to the necessary bank or card issuer and our bank or payment processors. When payment is made by PayPal or another electronic payment service (e-payment service), we provide information as required by the system, including the order number and the amount and currency of payment required by the selected e-payment service.
Banks and e-payment services may monitor financial activity for legal reasons or to ensure compliance with their terms of service to our clients and to ourselves. Therefore, we may occasionally provide additional details regarding orders or transactions for these purposes upon request. We may use information collected and provided to us by the sites where we advertise to track the success of our advertising campaigns and thereby keep our costs and prices low. This information is aggregated and, therefore, does not contain any personal identifying information.
Information on orders received is retained after the order is completed for legal purposes, including tax, audit, and corporate records, and may also be used for customer service and order fulfillment purposes where several orders are in some way similar or related, for example, being chapters of the same manuscript or thesis, a sequel, etc.
The Order Page allows the client to create a title for the order, upload the associated files, and choose which version of English is to be used.
It also gives the client an opportunity to leave detailed instructions for the order and specify his or her preferred editor.
