Rejecting Orders Too Late
Rejecting Orders Too Late
Please avoid taking assignments for extended periods of time and then rejecting them. It's okay to accept an assignment for up to 20 minutes—for the purpose of evaluating whether you'd like to do the work—and then reject it. However, anything longer than this cuts into the deadline and makes it harder for the subsequent editor to complete the work on time. If an order is held for longer than 20 minutes and then dropped, a karma penalty of 25 points is applied. So remember that a timely review of the document is important!
If something unavoidable comes up (e.g., a family emergency or you suddenly take ill) and you have no choice but to reject your existing assignment(s), please make the decision as soon as it becomes clear that it might be necessary, and please inform Customer Service (customerservice@scribendi.com) as soon as possible. This will help us to find a new editor in a timely manner.
If you find yourself unable to connect to the Internet and cannot return files, or need to reject files and can't, please call us at 1-877-351-1626 (toll free in North America) or 1-519-351-1626.
