You should now see a screen that includes the Scribendi, Edanz (a sister brand), and EditorWorks logos in the top left corner, followed by a link that says Scribendi Resources:
The tab will take you to Scribendi's training resources.
In EditorWorks, there should also be a number of tabs down the left side of the page:
Control Panel: This is for viewing orders you have in progress and the orders available to you.
Editor's Log: This is for viewing a list of the work you have completed, as well as QA results, feedback, and karma points that you've received.
Stats: This allows you to view your work statistics.
News: This screen is where you will find the latest system news, bulletins, and memos. It would be beneficial to review this tab daily.
Word Count: Here you can find a tool to assist you in double-checking word counts for file types that do not have native word count tools (e.g., PDF files).
Guidebooks: This is the area from which you will download updated versions of Scribendi's various guidelines, forms, resources, etc.
KB: This is where you can access a detailed description of each of the services available to you at Scribendi.
Forum: The forum has eight areas: Communications from Management; General Chit-Chat (this is the virtual water cooler): Knowledge Sharing: Live Online Discussions; New to Scribendi? Post Your Questions Here; Positivity; Questions for Management; and Scribendi AI.
Contact: This tab provides contact information for departments in the Scribendi office based on specific issues that might arise: Customer Service, Duty Editor, Quality Department, Human Resources, Accounts, and Marketing. At the top right-hand corner of the screen, you will see a place for an icon alongside your name.
If you hover over your name, you will see a "Logout" link and a "Profile" link appear. If you click "Logout," you will leave the EditorWorks™ system. If you click "Profile" or click directly on your name, you will be taken to your personal profile. This is where your current contact information is found. It is also where you can change your status from "Available" to "Not Available" if you are going to be away or are too busy with other projects to accept work. "Not Available" should only be chosen for extended absences. If you are away for a week and not accepting orders, you can flip your status to "Not Available"; however, if you're going to the kitchen to make a sandwich, please leave your status set to "Available" to make sure that all necessary communications reach you. If you make the switch, you can change your status back to "Available" at any time. Important Note: please remember that if you are set to "Not Available," you will still be able to receive notifications for order requests during this period. Other communications will still be screened out if you're set to "Not Available."
