The subject of this image is my sister's foot. I took this picture in my room and hung a sheet off the door to create a backdrop. To create this image took three pictures using my digital camera and a desk lamp as a spotlight. I chose to create this image because I wanted to use to have three distinct objects of each color. There is color shown with the colorful socks, movement of her foot across the frame, there is contrast between the black and white background and colored socks.

There is balance with a foot on each side and there is informal balance with the heel of one foot and the two full feet. There is grouping because there are multiple feet. To create this I took three pictures from the same angle- one of each foot. I combined them in photoshop and made a gradient map layer and erased the grey part on the socks.

This image shows color which is part of my concentration. For the single foot my sister had to stand on one foot which was challenging on her tiptoe. This project relates to my life because I set up the backdrop, the light, posed her, took the pictures and then used photoshop to combine them. The edges of the colored socks are a little fuzzy and to fix this I could go back to greyscale and try again. Also the blue sock is a little too far off the frame to the point that it doesn't really look blue. I could've posed the feet in a different way. There's red and blue on the yellow sock.
