Blind Contour Drawings

While working on this project we didn't look, at our paper only at the subject we were drawing with one continuous line. I drew my hands doing different poses then I did a blind contour self portrait, I looked in a mirror while I drew. We drew both of these in sharpie and then added watercolors once we were finished. I used line, color and unity because it was one continuous line for each drawing. After I finished with sharpie line drawings I added watercolor, it evolved from a simple line drawing to a line drawing with color. I am proudest of knowing I never looked down at my paper for any of these once, so they truly are blind contour drawings and they turned out well for those. I struggled with the one line idea because I would want to add details like eyes or fingernails that weren't connected to the rest of the drawing, but I couldn't. There is nothing I would change about this, I like it the way it is.
