Creative Landscape

The subject of my image is the reflection of a boat and dock pole. I took this image in the afternoon on a not very sunny day. I made this image with my digital camera and then I edited it. I chose this image because it is abstract. the pole is a continuous line, there is texture in the water from the wind blowing, there is movement shown with in the water ripples.

There is rule of thirds because the boat and pole don't take up the whole frame. There is sharp focus because everything is in focus, and the pole leads to its reflection which is a leading line. I edited this picture using photos and I adjusted the color and lighting, I darkened it. I didn't change a whole lot.

To take this image I got low and angled my camera up. I went down to the end of a ramp where a dock usually is attached. This project relates to my life because I chose how to angle my camera and what I wanted to capture. I think this image could be stronger if there was more going on in it or if there was different light. To do this I would have to retake the image at a different time of day. It would also be cool to flip the image upside down so it would make the viewer wonder. If the lighting was different or if there was more color it would relate more to my concentration.
