This is a picture of a frozen pond. I took this image as the sun was rising and caught the sunrise in the glassy part of the ice. To take this image I used my digital camera and then I edited it in photos. I chose this one because you can see the reflection of the sun coming up and a tree which I really like. The shape of the tree is distorted in the ice. This distortion also shows the texture of the ice how it's smooth in some spots and rough in other places. There is contrast between the blueish ice and the bright orangey pink of the sky. This picture relates to my concentration because it has vivid color and unique lighting.
In this image there is selective focus, grouping of the smooth parts of ice. There is rule of thirds because the sun in the ice doesn't take up the whole picture. When I took this picture the colors weren't as vivid so I used photos to adjust the saturation and the cast to give it a blueish glow. I turned down the brightness so there was more emphasis on the main, bright spot.
On Wednesday and Thursday I work in the afternoon so I don't have an opportunity to take pictures outside so I went for a morning walk with my mom and dog. We walked across a frozen pond as the sun was rising. I had to crouch down to get the right angle. This picture relates to my life because I chose to take a picture of something beautiful in nature that someone might overlook. Often we're half asleep or in a rush in the morning and we overlook nature's beauty. On Thursday morning I had an opportunity to take in nature's beauty and capture it. I like this image how it is and I don't see anything I would change. I could've tried different angles maybe even gotten lower on the ice.
