scratchboard

The project was to find a picture and put a black and white filter on it so it has more than two values. To show these values we had to use different scratching techniques. For my picture I chose a picture of sculptures in Portland. I really like the picture because the sculptures are in different shapes and different values. For this project I used a scratching tool and scratchboard. In a few places I accidently scratched where I should have left it dark because I'm not used to leaving space dark making other space white so I changed the values in a few places. I am proudest of how the final looks very similar to the picture and the sculptures have accurate values. I struggled when one corner of my scratch started to peel, to fix it Mr. Andreson cropped the edges. I would make sure to use the right values on the windows in the background because next to the picture it is obvious that I made a mistake, other than that I like the final product.
