Geometric Shadow

The subject of my image is my dog and my brother's hand. I took this picture in my house, I used my lamp and pointed it at the wall, I had my brother hold his hand in front of it, farther away so the hand shadow wasn't huge. I used my camera to take this picture and photoshop to add the swing and dog. i knew that I wanted to add a swing hanging off the shadow or a person. This relates to my concentration because shadows are lighting. There is the dsitinct shape of the hand. Contrast between the wall and hand shadow.

The hand and swing only take up part of the image this is rule of thirds and the finger points towards the swing which then leads to my dog these are leading lines. The shadow isn't in focus because it's not a solid object this is soft focus. The swing frames my dog. This project started out as just the hand shadow and I used photoshop to draw the swing and I used photoshop to make my dog small enough to fit on the swing.

The hand is kind of like a tree with a swing. The story is that my dog is hanging out on a swing. This project relates to my life because I chose how the hand is positioned and then I drew the swing myself. I think this image could be stronger if it had a different background and better lighting. I had other ideas which I might try if I have extra time
