In Sight
Tail Wagging Excited
Greeting
The subjects of these images are my dogs Louis and Remmie. I took the first two in the entry way and then the third in our kitchen. I used my digital camera and photos to create these images. Everyday when my mom comes home from work Louis and Remmie run to the windows by the door and wait with tails wagging. This is love because they are so happy to see her. The pictures show a range of value and the texture of their fur is shown. Louis is wagging his tail in the second picture which shows movement. These were all candid shots because I can't pose them to do these things.
These pictures show grouping of two dogs or in third one a dog and a person. The pictures are low lighting which makes them kind of fuzzy, they are not in sharp focus they are selective focus and soft focus. All of these pictures were in color and I used photos to crop them and adjust the lighting and color. I used the cast adjustment bar to make them bluer because the inside light gave them an orangey, green tint.
I chose three pictures because they tell a story. Everyday my dogs run to greet my mom at the door, this is love. Love is when you are always excited to see someone. In the first image they see her coming in the outside door, in the second image she is about to open the door they are next to which is why Louis is wagging his tail and in the third image my mom is greeting and hugging Remmie. This project relates to my life because this something that happens almost everyday in my house and I wanted to capture it. I love my dogs and so does my mom, I wanted to capture to show what love is to me. I think these images could be stronger if there was more natural light maybe coming in the windows because the lamps make the pictures lower quality. I like these images because they capture a form of love. Love is a dog wagging its tail so fast and smiling at you.
