At the beginning this semester I had a hard time choosing one concentration because I love to experiment with my photography. This was how I ended up with a dual concentration, lighting and color. At first I saw them as two separate ideas, but I then started to work on connecting them. Another part of my love to experiment with photography is that when I am taking pictures I try to find angles/views that average person wouldn't see. At the beginning of the quarter my photos truly only were one or the other, but I became more aware and I started making sure to include both. The thing about lighting is that it's a large category so I had a lot of room to experiment and there is also a lot of color in the world. I think that over this quarter I have learned more about myself as a photographer and I will only continue to learn. Having more freedom for each assignment was sometimes tricky and they took a lot of thinking, but at other times it was nice to be in control of my photography. There are a few images from the beginning that are weak, but most of my images are well thought out. I was worried about not fitting my concentration in with enough of my images, but I managed to. When glancing at my concentration it isn't obvious what my concentration, if I was to redo this I would try and connect my images more.
