The Job Summary gives you a powerful reporting tool that is a real-time summary panel of a Work Order (WO) or Sales Order (SO).

Transaction Filter - You can view the Job Summary for a Work Orders or Sales Orders by selecting WO or SO from the filter drop down list. Enter the WO or SO number in the Transaction No. Search Field (2) and click View. However you can open the Job Summary from the Work Order or Sales Order modules, then the relating data will be displayed automatically.
Transaction No. Search Field - Enter the number of the Sales Order or Work Order you wish to view here. An Error will pop-up if the Transaction cannot be found.
Menu - The Menu button provides the following additional functionality:
Synchronise with open Transaction - This will automatically synchronise the Job Summary with the open Sales Order, Work Order, Purchase Order, Material Movement and Planning Board task.
Rebuild - This can be used to ‘fix’ the Cost Summary if, for an unlikely instance, an Item was Issued, then Returned and then the Issue was deleted.
Open Order - This will open the Transaction.
Costing Tab - This tab shows a more detailed view of the Job's costing - listing Material and Services by Estimated, Actual and Variance.
Costing Data Grid - The Costing data grid will display the Transaction Number, Estimated, Actual and Variance values of the Transaction.
The Trans No column displays the linked Transaction numbers. By right-clicking on a Transaction in the Job Summary, allows you to open the Transaction. When multiple of the same Transactions are linked to one Item, you will be prompted to select the desired Transaction.
Sales - The Sales portion is created from the Sales Order and Customer Invoices. This section is not displayed when a Work Order is not linked to a Sales Order.
Cost of Sales - The Cost of Sales section consists of all the linked Work Orders, each one with its own Cost breakdown and drill-down functionality to open the linked Transactions.
Profit/Loss - This provides a Profit and Loss Summary of the Transaction.
SO - The Job Summary also displays Estimated/Actual costs linked directly to the Sales Order. If there are Items with a Resolve of Purchase, Reserve, Issue on the Sales Order, the SO is added to the Cost of Sales section, same as the linked WO’s are added.
WO - The Job Summary also displays Estimated/Actual costs linked directly to the Work Order.
When a Material is Purchased or Issued, and the Item is changed on the Purchase Order or Material Movement from what was Estimated. The Job Summary description will display the Description of the Estimate as well as that of Action.
NB. You must use the functionality to update the Item so the link to the Est Cost is not broken. If the link is broken, the Est and Act will show as separate items- See image below:
12. Timekeeping Tab - This tab shows the time logged against the Job by the Timekeeping module or Tracker.
a. Timekeeping Summary - This shows a Timekeeping Summary listing the Tasks by Type, Description, Estimated Hours, Actual Hours and Variance.
b. Timekeeping - This shows the active Tasks and lists it by Type, Date, Item, Cost Centre, Code, Operator and Hours.
