User-defined fields allow you to have your own unique fields in modules, over and above the standard fields provided. You can add user-defined fields in these modules: Customers, Customer Contacts, Suppliers, Supplier Contacts, Staff and Materials.
The data stored in these fields can aid you in more efficient Reporting, better CRM, and more. Find more about User Fields here.
Main Menu > Setup > Settings & Defaults > User Fields > Select a Module > View/Add
User Access is controlled using Staff Settings: Setup > User-defined fields - Access Allowed.
The screenshot below is an example of how these User Fields, based on the screenshot above, are displayed in the module:
