The Materials Price Manager is where all the prices of the Material Items are listed. The Materials Price Manager allows you to update the Material Prices and change VAT Types.

Materials Price Manager Interface

Main Menu > Materials > Materials Price Manager

The Material Price Manager allows you to view the following Price fields of the Material Items within the database:

1. Units & Prices (more below)
2. Supplier Prices
3. Materials without Prices

Each view has unique fields in the data grid. You can toggle between these views by selecting the desired option from the View drop-down field and clicking View. See image below:

Main Menu > Materials > Materials Price Manager > View - Units & Prices > View

1. Category - This allows you to filter the Material Items displayed in the data grid by Material Category.
2. View - Units & Prices - This will show all the Units and Prices (7) of the Material Items within the Material Category (1) selected.
3. Select - This allows you to select a specific field you wish to Update (4) or Delete (5) of the selected Material Items in the data grid. When you select a field to update, the respective entities/fields will appear next to the Select field where you can enter the new parameters (image below). You are able to select from the following fields within the Units & Prices view:
   • Est - This allows you to specify if the Material Item Price is available in Estimating.
   • Qty - This will update the Qty, Qty From and Qty To Price fields.
   • VAT - This will update the VAT Type and if it's Excluded or Included.
   • Cost - This will update the Cost Price.
   • Sell - This will update the Sell Price.
   • Unit - This will update the Material's Unit of Measure. First select a Material Category before attempting to update the Unit field.
   • Cost Price = Lowest Supplier Price - This will set the Material Item's Cost Price equal to the lowest Supplier Price.
   • Cost Price = Highest Supplier Price - This will set the Material Item's Cost Price equal to the lowest Supplier Price.

4. Update - This will update the Items selected in the data grid with the parameters set in the Select field (3).

5. Delete - Clicking the Delete button will delete all the selected Material Prices or Materials depending on the selected View. This provides an easy way to delete discontinued paper prices.

6. Materials grid - The Materials grid shows all the Material Items listed in Materials & Inventory. The Materials grid consists of the following columns:

• Category - This indicates the Material Item's Material Category. You are able to add a Sub-Category column from the Field Chooser.
• Description - The Material Item's description will be shown here for easy identification.
• Code - This shows the Material Item's unique Code.
• Base Unit - This indicates the Material Item's Base Unit.

7. Units & Prices grid - The Units & Prices grid shows the Units & Prices of the Material Items listed in Materials & Inventory. The Units & Prices grid consists of the following columns:

• Price Type - This indicates the Price Type of the Material Item.
• VAT Type - This shows the VAT Type applied to the Material Item.
• Price - This indicates if the VAT is included or excluded from the Price.
• Est - This Specifies if the Price is available when Estimating.
• Qty - This shows the Qty Price.
• Qty From - This shows the Qty From Price.
• Qty To - This shows the Qty To Price.
• Cost (Exc) - This shows the Cost Price excluding VAT.
• Sell (Exc) - This show the Selling Price excluding VAT.
• Sell (Inc) - This show the Selling Price including VAT.
• /Qty - This shows what the Material Cost and Sell Prices are per Quantity.
• Unit - This shows the default Unit for this Material Item.
• MU% - This shows the Mark Up percentage specified for the Material Item.
• GP% - This shows the Gross Profit percentage specified for the Material Item.
• Updated - This shows the last date the Material Item were updated.

You can open the Material Item or view the Material Summary by right-clicking on the desired Material Item and selecting Open Linked Material Item or View Material Summary.

8. Menu - The Menu button allows you to Export, Save or Restore the data grid.

2. View Supplier Prices

Main Menu > Materials > Materials Price Manager > View - Supplier Prices > View

1. View - Supplier Prices - This will show all the Supplier Prices (6) of the Material Items within the database.
2. Price expired - This allows you to view Materials with expired prices.
3. Supplier - This allows you to view Materials based on one, or all Suppliers.
4. Select - This allows you to select a specific field you wish to Update or Delete of the selected Material Items in the data grid. You are able to select from the following fields within the Supplier Prices view:
   • Est - This allows you to specify if the Supplier's Price is available in Estimating.
   • Currency - This will update the Supplier's Currency.
   • VAT Type - This will update the VAT Type that applies to the Supplier's Price.
   • Price - This will update the Supplier's Price for the Material Item.
   • Unit - This will update the Material Item's Unit of measure.
5. Confirm - Clicking the Confirm button will set the Updated User/Date field in the data grid to the logged in User and the current time.
6. Supplier Prices grid - The Supplier Prices grid show the Suppliers Prices for the Material Items. The Supplier Prices grid consists of the following columns:
   • Supplier - This shows the Material Item's Supplier.
   • Est - This specifies if the Supplier's Material Price is available in Estimating.
   • Currency - This shows the Supplier's Currency.
   • VAT Type - This shows the VAT Type applied to the Material Item.
   • Price - This indicates if the VAT is included or excluded from the Price.
   • Price (Exc) - This shows the Supplier Price excluding VAT.
   • Price (Inc) - This shows the Supplier Price including VAT.
   • /Qty - This shows what the Material Cost and Sell Prices are per Quantity.
   • Unit - This shows the default Unit for this Material Item.
   • Adj % - This shows the Adjustment percentage applied to the Supplier's Price.
   • Total - This shows the Total Price for the Supplier's Material Item. This value is VAT excluded or Included depending on the parameter set in the Price field.
   • Updated - This shows the last date the Material Item were updated. This field will automatically update when you click the Confirm button (5).

3. Materials without Prices

Navigation

Main Menu > Materials > Materials Price Manager > View - Materials without Prices > View

1. View - Materials without Prices - Selecting this view will show all the Materials that do not have Prices linked to them.
2. Delete - This allows you to delete the Material Items without Prices.
3. Materials grid - This shows the basic information about the Material Item; Category, Description, Code and Base Unit.
